Due to COVID-19, on-line classes will be offered for at least the first two months for Preschool and above from 8/2-9/27. The Sing & Play class will start when we can meet onsite. An update will be provided closer to 9/27.

在美国从事中文教学8年，有丰富的中文教学经验。之前毕业于武汉华中科技大学同济医学院，是工作了33年的资深儿科医生，在医学院教授临床大课28年。曾系统学习过儿童心理及行为发育等课程，相关专业和工作经验帮助我更好地去了解学生心理，以及他们学习中渴望了解的东西、会遇到的困难。几年的海外中文教学经验，一直在探索针对学生们的有效教学方法，力图将中文课件变得有趣味，激发同学们的学习兴趣，传递中文知识和中国传统文化。

    我会在规定的时间里，完成暨南中文教材第七册所有内容。除了生字、生词、新句子和课文的学习外，我们会有许多基本功的训练。会参照马立平教材补充相关的地理、历史知识、语言典故和风俗传统文化，以及一些基本写作知识等。我还会将每周的教学内容和本周的作业等详细内容，通过email按时发给家长们，希望您们能督促孩子尽可能完成练习册作业，若有问题，我也会在下课或是放学后辅导他们的作业题。

成绩评定：出勤 20%， 作业完成 30%， 课堂表现 、回答问题10%， 期中考试20%， 期末考试 20%。

Course Description (课程介绍):

“My First Chinese Reader” is a set of textbooks specially designed to teach Chinese language skills to children of non-native Chinese families and those living in non-Chinese speaking communities. In this Bilingual 5 class, we will use volume 4 of the My First Chinese Reader Book series. Volume 4 contains 12 lessons that combine the following teaching methods: an easy step-by-step approach; a comprehensive selection of characters and sentence patterns; highly relevant scenarios covering school, family, daily life, sports, etc; and a stroke-by-stroke approach to writing Chinese characters. Illustrated with simplified Chinese characters, Pinyin, and colorful pictures, this book introduces little readers to basic Chinese sentences in a daily living environment. There are also sections on Vocabulary, Drills, and Reading and Writing at the end of each lesson, along with English translations for each vocabulary word and sentence.

毕业于南京东南大学。已在GPCCS执教五年。

教学内容：

教材融合了暨南拼音，马立平学前班，马立平一年级，以及中国人教版一年级等多本教材书，各种教材扬长避短后总结出一套新的学前班教学内容。课堂教学结合视频，各种游戏互动，丰富有趣。

教学进度和目标：

每周学习一篇儿歌，十个左右汉字，三个拼音字母。通过一年的学习，使孩子们做到可以自由拼读拼音，能认识300个左右汉字，可以利用汉字组词和句子，并能背诵已学的儿歌，为汉语学习打下基础。

Hope Toastmasters club ,主要是锻炼英文的公共演讲和沟通能力，俱乐部通过会员参与每次聚会角色的轮换，让每个会员都有机会练习组织聚会，领导群体的能力。俱乐部每周一次在Greater Phoenix Chinese Christian School教室周日下午3:30pm 到4:45pm在R204-205教室开会。欢迎家长带领孩子来参与，鉴于Toastmasters 俱乐部规定，年龄小于18岁的未成年人不能注册，但我们允许注册为会员的家长带不超过2个18岁以下的孩子参加活动，13岁以下的孩子一定要有家长陪同参加。所有孩子都要注册成为GPCCS的学生并注册演讲课。俱乐部的志愿行政管理者也有每年的免费培训机会。另外我们也会邀请其他俱乐部有丰富演讲和辩论经验的会员参与本俱乐部活动和成为本俱乐部会员的个人导师。俱乐部会费是$60 ／半年。新会员第一次买书加$20。孩子在GPCCS的注册费是每年$30. 需要报名的家长或者个人请联络：
